This project was inspired by my own experience as a parent, having seen how quickly a child’s behavior can be misunderstood and mislabeled. Educating ourselves about sensory differences has had a profoundly positive impact on our family.
The campaign has two phases. Phase 1 simulates the distressing experiences that kids with SPD often can’t verbalize. Exaggerated visuals were executed through a combination of AI and Photoshop compositing. Phase 2 flips the lens: now we see how adults label kids who are struggling. The accusations can sting, but beneath each one is a quiet truth: the child is simply trying to cope. This shift in perspective challenges the viewer to question their assumptions.
Together, these two approaches take us from what a child feels to how they’re often judged. The campaign ends not with blame, but with an invitation to learn how we can better support kids with SPD.
